Transformed into a massive black snake, Kijoon held Nokhee in his coils like a snake guarding its eggs. Using his tail, he stripped off her clothes and spread her legs apart.

Skillfully, he stroked her clitoris, teased her opening, and made Nokhee’s intimate parts wet.

Once, when he was in heat and extremely aroused, he unintentionally transformed into his true form during intercourse. Unable to control his strength, he had to remain still after inserting his penis to avoid crushing Nokhee.

When Nokhee awoke and discovered the massive snake coiled tightly around her body, she screamed in terror, her face pale... She seemed to have believed it was just a dream all this time.

“Ugh, uhng...”

Even as she hovered on the brink of consciousness, Nokhee moaned as if a dull ache was pulsing within her stomach. After stroking her clitoris and teasing around her vaginal opening for a while, it wasn't long before her small hole began to drip and quiver.

Kijoon inserted the tip of his tail into the opening, which was about the size of a fingernail. The heated, feverish inner walls clung to it tightly, and the sensation was so incredibly pleasurable that a low moan escaped him involuntarily.

He gently probed and explored Nokhee's inner flesh with the thin tip of his tail, gradually pushing it deeper. Thanks to the ample foreplay, her well-lubricated inner walls relaxed easily, accommodating a considerable length of his tail.

"Heugh, heu...”

The tail, which had been smoothly sliding in without end, gradually thickened until it reached the size of an average adult man's forearm. At this point, Nokhee seemed to find it challenging, as she trembled slightly and furrowed her brow.

Only then did Kijoon slowly withdraw his tail, which had been pushing up against her belly, making it bulge. With a popping sound, the dark tail completely slipped out, and her swollen belly deflated. The opening that had been the size of a fingernail was now gaping wide, the size of a fist, revealing the red insides.

Kijoon carefully positioned his lower body, where two penises protruded, between Nokhee's legs. He then aligned both of his fiercely erect glans with her vaginal opening and slowly pushed them in.

“Ah, aaah... heugh...”

As the vaginal opening, which had been slowly contracting, stretched wide again, Nokhee flailed her arms that were sticking out between the black coils and moaned.

Unlike when he was in human form, the genitalia of his true snake form had sharp, thorn-like protrusions at the tips, which would easily cause bleeding if inserted roughly, as he usually did.

So, gently... He slowly and patiently pushed in, ensuring that the pleasure he had ignited in the unconscious Nokhee wouldn't fade. When he finally inserted all the way, the soft and warm flesh gripped his member tightly, unlike the roughness of his tail. It felt like submerging his entire lower body in warm water.

“Ah, Nokhee...”

Kijoon delicately pressed the tip of his serpentine mouth, curved like the letter 'ㅅ,' to Nokhee's lips, stealing a light kiss, and then slowly moved his lower body.

“Uhng, heuu...”

Nokhee, who initially seemed to feel some pain, soon began to release sweet moans. The absence of the scent of blood suggested that she was not bleeding.

Encouraged, he thrust his body several times, rubbing his cool scales against her tightly wrapped form, eliciting a sigh from Nokhee.

“Aheu, haa... It feel so cool.. “

"Do you like it, my lady? That guy can't cool you down like this when you're feverish. My cock feels better, doesn't it, my lady? I am better, right?"

“...”

Even though he knew he wouldn't get a proper response from someone unconscious, Kijoon felt resentful towards the silent Nokhee and roughly thrust his lower body, demanding an answer.

As the barbed tip of his glans scraped against her sensitive spots, Nokhee trembled with pleasure, tears streaming down her face as she let out a moan that seemed like an affirmation.

"Angh, haangh...”

"I've done everything you wanted, so why aren't you happy? Why do you only cry?"

Being in his true form was comfortable and pleasant, but the downside was that he couldn't use his hands. He regretted not being able to wipe away the tears streaming down her cheeks.

It was then. A handful of scales fell from the part of his body that was wrapped around Nokhee. Before he could do anything, new scales began to grow back with a rustling sound, all in the reverse direction.

As the sharp tips emerged through the flesh, blood naturally began to trickle down. Normally, the sprouting of reverse scales was accompanied by excruciating pain. However, despite having more than a dozen such scales erupting, Kijoon's expression did not change in the slightest. He merely clicked his tongue, letting out a 'tch.'

“Blood is getting on you.”

Unfortunately, the blood ended up on one of Nokhee’s spread legs, staining her pale skin. Indeed, not being able to use his hands was inconvenient.

In the midst of it all, Kijoon shifted back to his human form, the transformation accompanied by a sharp crackling sound. His body was marred with gruesome wounds and punctures, but he quickly used his spiritual powers to hide them.

Even if Nokhee was asleep, he couldn’t risk her seeing these hideous wounds and come to dislike him. After all, Nokhee was fond of his handsome face and body.

But as soon as he concealed one wound, another part of his body would burst open, with blood spurting out. Watching this, Kijoon clicked his tongue again.

"It can't be helped."

Not only did he kill all the humans who attended the feast in Hwangju Castle, but even now, his minions were likely still hunting and devouring humans in the capital at this very moment.

Now, his sins had overflowed, and the long-awaited divine retribution had finally come.

After the day of the banquet, he had been holed up in Nokhee's room within Hwangju Castle, busy either being intimate with her or nursing her, so he was unaware of the situation outside.

Yet, even amid that chaos, the weasel ultimately survived. The reason it was spared was so trivial — there was no real desire to kill it — and besides, the vengeful spirits of those it had devoured were clamouring for a chance at revenge.

As a result, the weasel received back in full the karma it had accumulated. Just as an Imugi developed a reverse scale, the weasel grew sharp, thorn-like whiskers all over its body.

He heard that the weasel, in a strange, hedgehog-like form, had crawled away screeching and fled beyond the mountains. With no remaining spiritual powers, it was destined to perish soon.

At that thought, Kijoon suddenly let out a small laugh. However, he was hardly in a position to mock the weasel for having changed like that.

The punishment he received for committing the heinous act of devouring his own siblings had been nothing in comparison. This time, the divine retribution he faced caused his scales to fall off with every life he took, and in their place, sinister reverse scales emerged, marking his sins.

After more than 150 years of servitude, he had finally paid for his sins. Yet here he was, killing dozens, even hundreds, without hesitation, making the eleven newly grown scales feel utterly pointless.

However, Kijoon was fine. It didn't bother him. Because Nokhee was here.

"Please wake up and see what I've done."

He gently pulled Nokhee's face, nestled in his arms, closer and kissed her, then whispered.

"So, what I'm asking is, please smile and tell me I did well, my lady."

Before long, the rumour that the imperial palace had been overthrown would spread like wildfire.

He wondered if his lady would finally open her eyes by then.

At the sound of birds chirping, Nokhee slowly opened her eyes.

When she felt herself waking from a slumber, she was certain that, upon opening her eyes, she would either be dead in the afterlife or lost in a deep, dark swamp.

However, when she finally opened her eyes, the familiar ceiling greeted her. It was her room.

"What...?"

With a bewildered expression, she slowly got up from her bed. Feeling as though she had just woken up from a deeply disturbing nightmare, she felt so unsettled that the sunlight streaming through the bars of the window seemed like a lie.

She was sure that before she closed her eyes, Seonghyeon had burned to death and Kijoon had made her consume all the reverse scales he had gathered for her...

"Reverse scales."

In the fragmented memories that returned to her, Nokhee widened her eyes and hurriedly examined her body.

Strangely enough, the body under the lifted blanket was completely naked, with no garments at all. On her pale skin, familiar dark marks were scattered here and there.

"One, two, three, four...”

Nokhee, like the Grand Sharman from some time ago, pointed at her own body and began to count.

“...Ten, eleven.”

By the time she had counted the last one on her left wrist, her hand, which had been tracing the rough scales, began to tremble uncontrollably.

“...It was real.”

Although she had clearly cut it out with her own hands, her wrist had completely healed without a single scar, as if it were a dream. However, her body, now marked with eleven spots and more mottled than before, along with the vivid memories that surfaced, proved that this was not a dream, but reality.

Kijoon had killed everyone in the Yoon family, including Seonghyeon, and fed her the reverse scales to take revenge on her.

However, perhaps because she had already been shocked enough before, Nokhee accepted the truth more calmly than expected.

It was because, like the rest of the Yoon family, she had yet to pay for her crimes, and, in any case, Kijoon was not in immediate danger for now. But when she thought about it, that too was only temporary.

Soon, upon hearing this news, the imperial palace would send new officials or soldiers to Hwangju. Perhaps even the Crown Prince himself would take action to capture the yokai that annihilated the Yoon family.

After assessing the situation with a clear mind, the conclusion was that Kijoon’s circumstances were still rather grim. Therefore, it would be best if the revenge he took on her was short-lived and came to a swift end.

Having made up her mind, Nokhee was about to get up when she suddenly noticed a neatly folded set of clothes by her bedside.

‘Now that there shouldn't be any servants left, who could have brought this?’

Though she found it a bit odd, she couldn’t remain in her unsightly, naked state any longer. So, without further thought, Nokhee obediently unfolded the clothes.

The yellow jacket and pink skirt, adorned with delicate floral embroidery, were exactly the kind of attire that young ladies from noble families would wear.

Of course, she had worn such clothing before, but most of them were hand-me-downs from Bohee, who disliked them. So, even though they were silk garments, their colours were dull, and they always seemed oversized and ill-fitting on her.

But when she put on the folded clothes, they fit her perfectly, as if they had been tailored precisely to her measurements. Because of this, Nokhee looked down at her outfit with a slight sense of wonder.

Perhaps because it was a colour she wasn't accustomed to wearing, it felt rather awkward. If someone else, a true noble lady, had worn it — someone not as cold and gloomy as her — everyone would have been captivated by the lady’s charm and unable to look away.

With that self-deprecating thought, Nokhee slowly stepped out of the room. As she opened the door, she habitually called out, "Is anyone here?" but the place was so quiet that the question seemed pointless.

That was to be expected. They were likely either dead or had fled. Now that the familiar sight in the front courtyard was gone, an inexplicable emptiness settled in her heart.

‘But where on earth did that guy go?’

Nokhee glanced around the unfamiliar place, searching for Kijoon. Considering that he had brought her to this place and even left her clothes, it didn’t seem like he had gone far.

After all, he had vowed to keep her alive to take revenge on her over and over again. There was no way he would abruptly just leave without a purpose, especially after feeding her all the reverse scales.

As she thought this, the surging anxiety gradually subsided. She wandered aimlessly in front of her room, and just as she was about to step over the threshold of the interior door and into the front courtyard, it happened.

"Ah..."

She suddenly stopped in her tracks. Among the servants who had been tending to her, there was no one with a talent for gardening, so unlike other palaces, her residence was surrounded only by trees and weeds that had grown haphazardly. It was so barren that it was almost embarrassing to call it a ‘lady’s residence.'

But what lay before Nokhee's eyes now was...

“...Nokhwa flowers."

It was the flower she had seen with Kijoon for the first and last time when they went outside the castle. Bead-like green flowers were blooming in clusters on every stem, filling the front courtyard.

How could something that should belong in a desolate field be here? The memory of that moment, of Kijoon, resurfaced instinctively, sending ripples through Nokhee’s calm heart.

It was then.

Rustle. It felt like something was being placed on her head.

“You're awake."

A deep voice settled near her ear.

Nokhee, who had briefly frozen and held her breath, slowly turned around. Standing behind her was not a shabby servant, but Kijoon, elegantly dressed in a white silk garment.

Even in rags, his tall figure had been striking, but now, properly dressed in fine attire, he looked no less dignified than the sons of noble families. Seeing the figure she had longed for, Nokhee felt tears welling up, and with a trembling voice, she called out to him.

“...Kijoon."

"As expected, I knew it would suit you well, my lady."

But he said something completely unexpected and gestured toward her head. Only then did Nokhee remember that something had been placed on her head. In a panic, she quickly reached up, grabbed it, and removed it.

“This is...”

What she held in both hands was a wreath made of Nokhwa flowers. Where could this have come from, and why was he giving it to her?

"I made this while you were getting up, my lady."

As if reading her mind, Kijoon answered. Surprised, Nokhee alternated her gaze between the wreath and his rough hands. She fiddled with the wreath for a long while before softly murmuring, “Thank you.”

"...But how did this happen? How did the flowers from the field outside the castle end up here...?"

“I moved the entire field here because I thought you would like it.”

She hesitated before gathering the courage to ask that question, but all she received in return were words that still didn’t reveal his intentions. Nokhee felt a bit frustrated. The question, 'Why would you do such a thing for an enemy you've vowed to take revenge on?' lingered on the tip of her tongue.

No, perhaps this was true revenge after all. Even though she knew it was impossible, her heart fluttered helplessly, and before she knew it, she was filled with endless hope.

Suddenly, the realisation hit her that she might have to live like this for the rest of her life until Kijoon's anger subsided. The thought choked her, and she found it hard to breathe.

Forcibly pulling her gaze away from the flowers swaying gently in the breeze, Nokhee stared into the distant sky, her lips moving slightly as if trying to speak.

“My mother... what happened to her?”

Because she had fainted, she didn’t know what had happened to her mother afterwards. She feared that her mother might have been killed, but to her surprise, Kijoon gave a much gentler answer than expected.

"Since there is no one here, I moved her to the temple where she had originally stayed, thinking it would be more comfortable for her."

"Y-You mean the temple halfway up Mount Bohyeon?"

"Yes."

When had he done that? With a surprised look, she blinked and asked again.

“Her condition... how is she?”

“The physician said she is fine.”

"I want to see her for myself, to ensure she's really okay..."

"Once all eleven reverse scales on your body are gone, I will let you meet her once."

Nokhee hastily shut her mouth at Kijoon's cold voice interrupting her words. She was so excited by the news that her mother was alive that she momentarily forgot about her own situation.
