It was a long while before Liliana came to her senses.

Her body ached all over, possibly from sleeping in an awkward position.

And yet, strangely, she couldn’t feel the soft bedding she should have been lying on.

What touched her skin felt more like a solid wall…

“…Huh?”

Liliana hurriedly tried to sit up.

Or rather, she tried to sit up until she realised her waist was stuck right in the middle of a wall.

“...”

‘This… has to be a dream, right?’

Liliana blinked in stunned silence as she looked at herself.

She was upright, bent forward slightly at the waist, completely fixed to the wall.

Her upper body was in Liber's room, while her lower body remained in Altus’s.

“...This can’t be happening.”

Liliana struggled desperately to free herself from the wall, but the solid surface pressing against her waist was so tight that not even a finger could slip in.

She pushed hard against the wall with her arms, but only the tips of her toes barely grazed the floor.

“Oh, Mother…”

After struggling for quite a while, Liliana finally let her tired body go limp.

The situation was unfamiliar, but not entirely new.

Of course, she’d never been physically embedded in a wall before, but she’d been punished for improper prayers more than once.

Back when she was a candidate for saintesshood, she once wished not to go out for community service, and she suddenly injured her leg.

Another time, she didn’t want to share a room with the other candidates and ended up isolated with a sudden contagious illness.

Surprisingly, these things happened because Liliana was full of the qualities of a saintess.

It meant her prayers truly reached the goddess.

In a strange way, this too could be seen as a blessing — an answer from the goddess.

“This is a bit much...”

Liliana covered her face with her hands and muttered to herself.

It was supposed to be a sacred wedding ceremony, welcoming a new partner before the goddess.

Yet she had made impure wishes, asking for an unforgettable night, even joking that a threesome would be fine.

So, she had no one to blame for the punishment.

But still, what kind of situation was it to shove the bride straight into the wall on the wedding night?

However, this wasn’t the time for complaints.

Liliana quickly clasped her hands together in front of her chest and began to pray.

“My Goddess, my Mother… Please forgive my reckless, thoughtless complaints. I beg you — let your Daughter be freed from this trial…”

‘I was wrong, so please have mercy. Even if I end up with a third husband, I swear I won’t make such wishes again. Whether Liber’s cock is the size of a thumb or he finishes in three seconds flat, I’ll accept it humbly.’

Liliana rubbed her palms together, pleading for forgiveness.

But whether it was because her indecent wish made during the sacred wedding ceremony had truly angered the goddess, what she heard wasn’t a divine voice — it was the sound of a door opening from the other side of the wall.

Click, creak.

A breeze blew over the lower half of her body, still clad only in a thin slip.

Liliana quickly covered her mouth.

After all her struggling earlier, the fabric had ridden up, exposing one side of her buttock.

She was wearing underwear, of course, but this was hardly a position she wanted anyone to see her in.

‘…It must be Altus, right?’

Her lower half was in Altus’s room, so it had to be him.

It had to be.

Those who served the goddess didn’t bring in attendants unless it was absolutely necessary.

Still, just in case, Liliana pressed her lips shut and rubbed her hands even harder.

‘Please, let those footsteps belong to Altus. And at the very least, let no one else in the temple catch sight of me like this.’

‘Mother, I beg of you… I truly repent. Please, please…’

The heavy footsteps drew closer, then suddenly stopped.

Even though she couldn’t see past the wall, she felt it — someone was looking at her.

‘Please. Please. Please…’

Liliana whispered desperately to herself.

And then, thankfully, a familiar voice broke the silence.

“…Saintess?”

The voice, tinged with awkwardness and confusion, seemed to drain all her strength.

Liliana instinctively pressed a hand to her chest in relief.

When she didn’t respond, the voice called out again from beyond the wall.

“Saintess, it’s me. Altus.”

“…I know.”

Liliana barely managed to respond.

Relief at narrowly avoiding the worst-case scenario was quickly followed by a wave of embarrassment.

She was relieved that it was Altus who discovered her first, not someone else.

But the thought that he could only see her half-bared lower half made her cheeks flush with shame.

“How… did you know it was me?”

“There’s no way I wouldn’t recognise you, Saintess.”

The reply came with absolute confidence.

Though their sex was always in the missionary position with the lights off, how he recognised her just by her rear was a mystery.

After a brief silence, Altus spoke again.

“Saintess, how did you end up like this…? Was this hole always here?”

The wall had been perfectly intact just that morning, so having a person suddenly stuck in it left even the usually calm Altus noticeably unsettled.

Liliana couldn’t bring herself to answer and covered her face.

Interpreting the silence, Altus cautiously moved his hand toward the junction.

When his firm fingertips touched her waist, Liliana jerked in surprise and flinched.

“Eek…!”

“My apologies, Saintess. I was just trying to fix your clothes.

Altus calmly pulled her slip down to cover her exposed backside.

Liliana felt a small sense of relief, but at the same time, an odd twinge of disappointment crept in.

Thinking about it, wasn’t this kind of a provocative position?

She was bent over in just her underwear, exposing her backside and yet Altus, of all people, acted completely unfazed by it.

He was always polite and attentive, even if a bit lacking in passion during their nights together.

But the fact that he could remain so composed even in this situation made something rebellious stir inside her.

“…I’d really like to get out. Could you help me?”

Liliana twisted her body as if struggling.

She deliberately swayed her hips, but Altus showed no particular reaction at all.

He only answered in a hesitant voice.

“...I’ll give it a try.”

That was all he said.

Altus grabbed Liliana’s hips firmly and pulled her toward him.

Liliana pushed against the wall with all her strength using her knees, but her chest was caught, rendering the effort useless.

Just as she thought brute force wasn’t going to work, Altus’s hand suddenly clamped down on her raised backside.

“Ah…!”

Liliana let out a startled gasp, but Altus didn’t say a word — he simply tried pushing her forward this time.

She remained stuck, just as before.

“It doesn’t seem like you went in there of your own will.”

Altus said at last, relaxing his grip.

He seemed genuinely focused only on helping her, with no ulterior thoughts.

And though she should have been relieved that he wasn’t making any untimely advances, Liliana found herself feeling oddly disappointed.

After all, knowing the kind of man he was, she had teased him just a little — but he was the type of man who only got aroused on their scheduled three nights a week, and only in bed.

“If I may ask… how exactly did this happen?”

As a Holy Knight of the Grand Temple, Altus had probably sensed that no ordinary force could’ve done this.

After a moment’s hesitation, Liliana gave a half-truth.

“I think Mother is punishing me… um, for letting my thoughts wander during the ceremony.”

There was no way she could tell this straight-laced man what sort of wish she had actually made.

Thankfully, Altus didn’t press further.

Instead, he gently stroked her waist and said softly:

“Forgive me, Saintess.”

“…Hm?”

“I should’ve realised sooner that you didn’t want this marriage. I should’ve opposed it more firmly…”

Altus seemed to believe her thoughts during the wedding were a sign she didn’t want to marry Liber.

Worried the two husbands might end up resenting each other, Liliana quickly opened her mouth to explain.

But that was when it happened.

Bang.

The door burst open, and Liliana lifted her head.

Standing in the doorway was none other than Liber, the room’s rightful owner, and her new husband.

“...”

“…Huh?”

Liber froze at the sight of Liliana, her upper body protruding from the wall.

His eyes, slightly raised in surprise, widened in disbelief.

He stared blankly at her for a long moment, then rubbed his eyes with a sleeve.

Realising it wasn’t a hallucination, he finally spoke.

“What the… Saintess? Why are you like that?”

Liliana offered no answer.

How could she possibly know?

Her silence was answer enough.

Liber scratched his cheek awkwardly, then glanced back at the closed door.

“Uh, who should I call? Hang on. I’ll…”

“No, no… It’s fine, Liber. That’s not necessary…”

Liliana hurriedly squirmed, but thankfully, Liber only raised an eyebrow and obediently turned back toward her.

His hand reached out and grabbed her forearm.

“Hold on.”

Altus hadn’t succeeded despite his strength — there was no way a pampered prince like Liber would.

Still, he seemed determined and gave her arm a firm tug.

“It’s no use… Ah!”

“Do not touch the Saintess’s body without permission.”

Liliana screamed out as she was suddenly yanked hard, and from beyond the wall, Altus spoke in a cold tone.

His attitude was a stark contrast to the smiling, polite man who had offered wine and flowers during the wedding ceremony.

Liber seemed caught off guard, not expecting Altus to be there, and hesitated for a moment.

Then, as if resigned, he let go of her hand.

"Alright, fine... So what exactly is this hole for?  It’s not like it was made for husbands to fuck each other or something."

As expected from someone like him, his crude words were utterly vulgar.

Liliana fell silent for a moment, then wiped her face with her hand.

"...I don’t know either. I’m thinking maybe Mother is angry or something…”

“Mother?”

"In the temple, 'Mother' is the title used for the goddess Aurora."

Altus, apparently still listening to the conversation, chimed in again.

Even someone as sheltered as Liber, who had been raised in the Kingdom of Laterre, should have already known this.

So, no matter how you looked at it, the fact that someone had felt the need to explain it to him didn’t seem to come from good intentions.

Liliana clearly saw the corner of Liber's mouth curl into a crooked smile.

’Please, please don’t fight. There’s someone literally stuck in a wall right now — is this really the time for you two to start flexing your egos?’

She fought the urge to shout.

Just as she was about to try her best to calm both men down—

“…Really?”

It was Liber who spoke first, his tone casual.

He shrugged and directed his words toward the other side of the wall.

“Thanks for the info, (older) bro.” [1]

“...”

“So, when exactly is the Saintess getting out of there?”

Liber turned to Liliana, asking as if Altus’s jabs were meaningless.

Liliana glanced toward the wall.

“Well… I don’t know. I guess we just have to wait.”

“Then what about our wedding night?”

“...”

“We got married today, didn’t we? So, when are we having our wedding night?”

Translator's Corner:

[1] Prince Liber refers to Sir Altus as his older brother (형님 - hyeongnim), which is a respectful way to refer to an older male acquaintance in this case. And also, because Prince Liber is being snarky in his own way in response to when Sir Altus mentioned the Goddess is referred to as "Mother." To make it smoother in this translated version, I have shortened it to "bro".
