Viviana panted, lowering her gaze. The man, whose large hand firmly gripped her soft thigh, met her gaze with his red eyes.

Yes, that man.

Even though she had spent nearly ten years with him, she never dreamed the day would come when she could truly see him as a man.

His lips slowly parted.

On the dimly lit bed, with only a single light on, his silver hair appeared dark, almost ashen. Even as he lay beside his wife on the plush mattress, his voice remained perfectly calm.

“Spread your legs.”

His voice used to sound nothing but cold and rigid... but now, Viviana’s ears flushed red as she shrank into herself. Rather than parting her legs, she drew them tightly together.

As if urging her on, the man called her name in a low, coaxing voice.

“Viviana.”

“That…”

“You’re the one who said we should make an effort to become a proper couple.”

“Th-That’s true, but…”

‘I never meant for you to go this far!’

Not only Viviana’s face but even the nape of her neck flushed red. Sweat gathered on her palms from tension, and her heart pounded loudly.

Seeing his fiancée clearly unwilling to part her legs, the man sighed. As a result, the tip of his nose almost brushed against Viviana’s body, sending a tickling sensation through her.

Then he lowered his head and licked the leg he was holding.

“Al-Alto!”

The warm tongue lapping at her thigh made Viviana call out his name like a scream.

Her pale, soft thigh showed red handprints where he had gripped it a little too hard.

Alto glanced at them briefly, then sucked hard on her thigh with a pop. A round, oval-shaped red mark appeared.

For some inexplicable reason, Alto found it strangely satisfying and continued sucking on the inside of her thigh.

Occasionally, he bared his fangs and bit her gently. The pudding-like softness of her thigh made biting all the more pleasurable.

‘Enjoying this?’

Feeling pleasure from touching someone else’s body? That was a strange sensation — but not an unpleasant one.

His red eyes turned toward the deeper part where a sweet fragrance thickly wafted. As if noticing that gaze, Viviana screamed and pressed his head down with her hands.

“Alto! Please don’t!”

“Why not?”

“W-Well, it’s just…”

‘Why else? Because it’s embarrassing, of course!’

Viviana shot a frustrated glare at her fiancé. Alto tilted his head slightly.

“You were the one who said it first that you and I are not compatible. So I suggested that we try to make it work.”

“Th-That’s true, but I don’t think this is right. You’re putting effort in the wrong direction.”

“Is that so?”

Alto’s gaze shifted to Viviana’s most private area — more precisely, to the dampened underwear clinging to it.

His eyes returned to Viviana, and he continued speaking in the same calm, composed tone.

“Then you tell me yourself. How I should make an effort.”

Viviana glared at Alto, her face reddened like a tomato. He then added in a low voice.

“Or I will do as I please.”

It seemed like sparks were flying in his eyes.

Viviana nodded hesitantly, but a sense of unease filled her heart, as if Alto might suddenly snap out of control.

But in the end, she squeezed her eyes shut.

“Alright. I’ll spread them.”

Though she said so, her pale legs wouldn’t move as she intended. Battling her inner shame, both legs trembled uncontrollably.

Perhaps because his mouth was dry from waiting, Alto’s voice came out low and subdued as he urged her.

“Viviana.”

“I-I…”

Her mind was a complete mess. Shame, embarrassment, and confusion tangled chaotically, and through it all, a faint pleasure peeked through. To feel joy while showing such an embarrassing side... Viviana bit her lip.

‘How did it come to this?’

She was lucky to have gone back in time. The only thing she regretted in life was her marriage to a cold, stone-hearted husband, so she asked for a divorce.

‘I just meant to break up cleanly, so how did I end up doing this with this man in bed?’

When she cautiously opened her eyes, she saw Alto. His blazing eyes stared at her trembling, pale thigh, like a wolf ready to gulp down a rabbit whole.

She swore it was an expression she had never seen in her past life. Unable to bear facing it, Viviana squeezed her eyes shut.

“Th-Then, I’ll just lie face down instead.”

Rather than face him, it seemed better to just show her back. Though her hands trembled, Viviana summoned her strength and raised herself. As she lay down like a dog, the gaze piercing into her back made it sting.

She wished this long moment would pass quickly — or perhaps stretch on a little longer.

Tangled in those conflicting feelings, Viviana let out a deep sigh. But that sigh was cut short. A large hand gripped her hips, and then a soft, hot tongue licked down her most intimate place.

"Th-that’s dirty!"

Never having expected him to press his lips there, Viviana screamed.

She tried to shift her position by lifting her hips, but Alto held her firmly in place. He even gave her a light smack on the butt.

“Stay still.”

“B-But…”

She wasn’t a child being punished, yet she was spanked on the butt. It wasn’t the pain but the shock of the situation that stiffened her body and flushed her pale cheeks bright red without mercy.

The strange thing was that his actions made her heart pound faster.

‘Why on earth?’

How primal and utterly ungraceful this behaviour was. Pressing lips as if to kiss the place of excretion, lying prone like a dog with her buttocks raised.

Yet, she found herself aroused by the act. Viviana shook her deeply flushed face in denial. Meanwhile, his hard member pushed into her softened lower parts.

“Ahh!”

Though it wasn’t their first time making love, it felt as if it were the very first. Every one of his actions felt unfamiliar and new.

Suddenly pierced at her deepest spot, Viviana’s waist trembled. Alto seemed just as stimulated by the act, a low groan slipping through his clenched teeth.

“Ugh.”

Her heart thumped at his groan. Knowing Alto was also aroused brought her relief — and, strangely, a sense of pride.

Thwack, thwack.

The sound of skin slapping echoed wildly through the bedroom. Each time he thrust upward with a heavy smack, Viviana’s whole body trembled.

At some point, she had buried her face in the sheets, lying face down. Only her raised hips swayed back and forth with his movements.

“Nngh! Ang! Ahh!”

Only helpless moans escaped. The thrusting grew faster and faster. As if overwhelmed by the speed, her softened vaginal walls tightened around him in an irregular, offbeat rhythm.

“Viviana.”

The moment his low, husky voice murmured her name, he thrust his cock deep inside with a thud. Then, the body that had been moving frantically suddenly stopped, and he ejaculated inside her.

It should have ended there.

“Aah…?!”

Instead of softening and shrinking after ejaculation, his cock began to swell again, as if it were going to burst inside her belly. Terrified, Viviana grabbed Alto’s hand that was holding her pelvis.

But then, she felt something furry — something that shouldn’t be there. Like a beast’s…

‘What is this?’

Viviana’s face went pale. Alto had once told her there was a reason he couldn’t fully satisfy her in bed. If what he said back then was connected to this change…

‘Did I mess with something I shouldn’t have?’

Viviana recalled how this sex began.

It was just last week that she asked Alto to call off their engagement.

✦ ✦ ✦

Viviana Lorentz was a suitable marriage partner — at least, until yesterday.

On a morning when sunlight began to touch the edge of the terrace, Viviana suddenly appeared in the study and, without any preamble, spoke to Alto as if delivering a notice.

"Let's call off our engagement."

Alto, who had been sitting and reading, slowly raised an eyebrow.

“What do you mean, all of a sudden?”

His stern features, thick eyebrows, and blood-red eyes made his expression twice as intense when he frowned. Alto furrowed his brow unconsciously — and immediately realised it.

‘If I look this intimidating, she’ll just get scared and clam up.’

But that was an overly premature assumption. Far from being intimidated, Viviana put her hands on her hips and twisted her face into a fierce scowl.

Alto was a bit surprised to see Viviana boldly meeting his gaze without looking away.

‘I'm pretty sure that until just yesterday, she couldn’t even make eye contact and was completely flustered.’

Today, she was different in many ways. Her golden hair, usually neatly braided with every strand perfectly in place like a proper young lady, now hung loose and untamed.

Her outfit was a light dress that showed her ankles — simple, practical, and comfortable.

Alto blinked.

‘Did we even have clothes like that in this estate?’

It had been three years since Viviana Lorentz came to live in the Fortuna Dukedom as Alto Fortuna’s fiancée. Swear to heaven, he had never seen Viviana dressed like this even once in all those three years.

‘It's like seeing a stranger.’

He was about to rub his eyes, unsure if the woman before him was really Viviana Lorentz.

While Alto pressed his lips tightly, barely concealing his confusion, Viviana spoke again in a sharp voice.

“I can’t live with you anymore. Let’s call off our engagement.”

Even though he was utterly stunned, he couldn’t help but point out the parts of her words that didn’t make sense. Alto spoke calmly and clearly, pinpointing each inconsistency.

“Yesterday, you said you were lucky to be engaged to me.”

At Alto’s words, Viviana made a face as if she’d been struck by a hammer. She then cleared her throat loudly and added.

“Th-That was just out of politeness.”

“So you’re saying all that politeness disappeared in a single day.”

“W-Well, that can happen! They say a woman’s heart is like a reed in the wind.”

“Then I suppose tomorrow you might want to marry me again.”

“W-Well…”

Completely broken by logic, Viviana’s face flushed as red as a ripe persimmon. Alto, who unconsciously found her a little cute like that, clenched his fist in embarrassment. It was then that Viviana shouted out spiritedly once again.

“I’m sure of it this time. I will never change. So please, call off our engagement!”

“...”

Was that something to say so cheerfully?

Above all, yesterday’s Viviana couldn’t even meet his eyes as she greeted him with a faint, barely audible "Good morning."

‘Is she feeling sick or something? Or is she really a different person?’

It was so baffling that he even entertained impossible scenarios.

One thing was clear: something significant had changed in her life.

Alto remained silent for a moment, then asked cautiously,

“Why are you suddenly acting like this?”

“You’re asking me that now? Wow, I really have lived to see the day. You’re actually asking me why? You always told me to do whatever I wanted, no matter what I said.”

“...”

She really did seem like a different person. The Viviana Alto knew had never been so talkative. Her words sounded cheerful at first glance, but underneath, there was a biting sharpness.

Alto tilted his head in puzzlement.

'Is she saying she didn’t like being told to do as she pleased?'

However, Viviana’s requests to Alto were mostly very ordinary, and since there was no real reason to refuse, he would just nod. After all, if he upset his fiancée, his grandfather would scold him.

‘To think that pleasing my fiancée has now become a source of dissatisfaction.’

He didn’t really understand it, but human psychology was never something easily understood by others anyway.

Alto gave a brief nod and chose his words a little more carefully than before.

“If you tell me exactly what the problem is, I’ll fix it.”

At Alto’s words, Viviana crossed her arms and narrowed her eyes — a look Alto had never seen before.

“If I explain in detail, will you call off the engagement, too?”

She was like a parrot who only just learned the word ‘call off the engagement.’

Suddenly feeling tired, Alto pressed his fingers firmly against his brow.

“If the reason is valid.”

Viviana pursed her lips slightly in thought before carefully opening her mouth to speak.

“...You and I are not compatible.”

“What did you say?”

He wondered what kind of reason she would give, and compatibility was her answer?

Alto frowned at a response that was twenty thousand light-years away from being reasonable.

“What nonsense are you suddenly spouting...”

“I-I’m serious! There’s not a single thing from one to ten that matches between you and me!”

"Did you happen to meet a strange person somewhere? Like a gypsy fortune-teller or something."

“I don’t believe in that kind of thing.”

"What you’re saying isn’t really that logical. Compatibility? Seriously?"

Alto lowered his gaze back to the book and calmly spoke, point by point.

“I won’t stop you from talking about calling off the engagement, but you should at least have a proper reason.”

“I am serious about this.”

"You say you’re serious, but you’re only talking nonsense?"

At Alto’s sarcasm, Viviana’s face flushed bright red, and she snapped angrily.

“You and I! We’re not sexually compatible!”

"...!"

Alto’s mouth dropped open at the emergence of a word he never expected to hear from her.
